For 2 years I have been reading about and experiencing the chirping noise created by issues with the drive belts and rear sprockets on some of the models and years of Victory. I have a 2013 CCT and started noticing this noise at around 7000 miles. The only way to fix this is to get the pullies laser aligned or get a belt that has the side grooves that will allow the belt to move from side to side when pullies are not aligned.
The chirp you are hearing id the grooves in the belt that are not properly in the pulley grooves and they are getting forced into those said grooves causing it to make that noise. Squealing is usually caused by slipping between the belt and the pulleys. This may sound crazy but Ive had success eliminating belt noise on other vehicles by just using a dry bar of soap.
Carefully reach in with the engine running and hold the bar of soap up against the belt contact surface. This transfers a minute amount of soap to the belt and acts as a lubricant but not enough to cause any slippage. So on both there is a chirp that happens right on start up and goes away once warmed-up.
Did the drip test and its the serpentine on both. I had replaced the Alternator a year before that so I dont think its the alternator pulley as has been reported by some. I put new Serpentine belts on both when I did the job Gates K060841.
