Another safety feature I have a chain from the bow hook going down on the trailer draw bar I do it tight with a turn buckle this will not let the boat move forward if the post failed.
Ive seen some setups where you had to run the strap.

I am looking to find a way to secure my boat better at the bow than with just the winch strap. My problem is the options are limited because of how the trailer is designed.
