I have a 31 2015 Coachmen Freedom Express travel trailer with EZ Lube Dexter 3500 axles. I also have a 3000lb trailer with out brakes wEZ Lube and I still wont bother with the EZ Lube.

It was a few years ago but I vaguely recall the first time I did it it took 25 pumps of my full-sized grease gun before any old grease started to emerge from around the front of the hub. The Dexter EZ Lube are a totally different design there is a passage for the new grease to pass through the hub cavity and to the rear bearing.
You need to be careful and do your own homework. The EZ lube are a good design but every 2 years or 10K I still suggest pulling the hub and doing a hand repack this gives you a good chance to inspect. The Dexter Nev-R-Lube bearings are a sealed bearing cartridge that never requires repacking with grease.
However they still need to be inspected every 12 months or 12000 miles and can be done during your normal brake maintenance inspection process. The EZ Lube makes it possible for almost anyone to lube the bearings but it does not address the need for regular brake inspection. I am wondering what the consensus is on the EZ lube system. My previous trailer did not have the EZ lube bearings and I would pull them apart repack them and put on new seals every other year. This served me well for the 16 years I had that trailer.
I average about 4000km 2400mi per year. My trailer which can be seen in my signature has the Dexter Ez Lube system. My trailer is 4 years old has 20K on it and has Dexter 5200 pound axles on it.
Up until now I have thought that the Ez Lube system was the best thing on my trailer. I have been pulling the hubs at least every other year and inspecting the brakes. Ive ready many posts here about ez lube problems and dont want to risk it myself.
Im approaching 10k miles on mine and am real sensitive to the need for proper maintenance given the axle fire i had last year with my last rig303rls.
