We would like to show you a description here but the site wont allow us. So my EZ Loader trailer has Reliance Oil Bath hubs 5 bolt and I had noticed some problems with oil leakage while stored. I pulled it out and was examining the hub to see if it had oil in it and the plastic hub cap separated from the threads and came off in my hand.

It has the Reliable brand oil bath hubs. Owners manual says how to change out the oil but not service the bearings. From what Ive found on the internet if you have the all-plastic older style hub covers.

What Oil To Use For Oil Bath Hubs. I use Mobil 1 75w-90 and havent had a problem with my EZ Loader trailer. I keep mine filled about 34 of the way up so the oil level just hits the top of the Reliable emblem embossed on the hub.

I have an EZ Loader trailer. It has the Reliable logo clear plastic cap on the hub. It looks to be leaking from the axle seal at least I assume so since I dont see any drippings on the front of the wheel.

Something to think about here is that you will have the same water intrusion problem with grease in the hubs as with the oil you just wont be able to see it as well. I like the fact my Reliable brand oil bath hubs on my EZ Loader show me there is a problem so easily and its honestly pretty easy to drain the old oil and re-fill with new. This indicates the hub is full of oil. If it looks milky that is an indication of water intrusion.
