Trunnion bearings shouldnt be able to get hot enough to weld themselves in. Im trying to get a wheel assembly off the swingarm and the axle is completely stuck. Im guessing the axle is rusted to the inner bearing race.

Same problem i had pb blaster heat mushroomed the head of the axle had to get a new one. How did i get mine out pulled the axle out of the trans bolted the knuckle back up and let my step-father hit it with a 5lb sludge. After the bearing is down to just the inner race and often leaving the bearing totally in tact I have been able to remove it from the shaft by just heating the inner race with a torch.
You have to start with all parts cold a good sized tip or even a rosebud heat the inner race from one or both sides ends quickly so the heat doesnt get a. Now you need the bearing puller tool.
